“What are you doing?” cries blonde Miranda Capulet as her husband (Isaac W.) roughly handcuffs her hands behind a support in a basement with rippling blue plastic all around. He doesn’t reply, but silences her with a black ballgag, then proceeds to duct tape her securely in place. She struggles alone and in confusion. After what seems like forever, her husband returns. Miranda’s eyes grow wide and her struggles are renewed with a panicked intensity as she realizes he has a pair of pliers in his hands. He approaches and places them at the nipple, Miranda struggles in vain to pull away against her bonds and . . .

. . . she awakes. She finds herself in bed, her husband sleeping peacefully next to her. Only a nightmare. She returns to slumber once more. But the next dream is even more menacing, with her tied arms aloft in an attic. “Why are you doing this? I don’t understand!” — her last words before duct tape seals her lips.

And the next nightmare in the cycle finds her suspended from a beam from only her wrists, a red ballgag filling her mouth. Reality and her dream world converge when she asks her husband to tie her to the bed.

In the second half of the movie, Celeste St. Germain, far removed from Miranda’s experiences, finds herself completely nude (sans heels) and severely duct-taped in the same basement as Miranda. But her troubles don’t cease here.

Alone in a strange bedroom lit with only candles, she is handcuffed spread in an X, fully nude. After writhing alone for some time, a stranger (Isaac W.) enters with a red candle. He drips the liquid wax on Celeste’s helpless body. Celeste reacts to every stinging drop with cries and moans behind the ballgag…
